My youth group leader is starting that abstinence series today.
Someone please save me from having to sit through this.

Les Mis is opening on Broadway right before my spring break next year!
So my friend and I will probably take a road trip to her grandpa's house, cause he lives right outside NYC, and then we can see it!
*happy dance*

Here are a few new photos of the tour. I think 5 of the photos in the album are new.

Stage Door Photos

My iPod finally cooperated in letting me upload them to Twitter, and since the pictures themselves would take up tons of space in this post, I'll just put a link to them.
My view of the stage: https://twitter.com/feuilllly/status/338504423615647744/photo/1 (ok this one is not really a stage door photo but oh well)
Me and a friend with Peter (aka the only picture taken with a decent camera): https://twitter.com/feuilllly/status/338480164872785920/photo/1

Post-show crash seems to be happening early this time. I'm supposed to be able to be crazily happy until I wake up tomorrow morning, but alas.

I'm really stressed because my iPod is spazzing out and it won't let me email or tweet my stage door pics without drastically reducing the size and just ughhhhh please let this work eventually

The only problem with being so excited, though, is that now I just want to curl up and cry because I'll probably never see the tour again.

Here are some pictures I drew for the cast, which hopefully I can give to them today! From left: Briana Carlson-Goodman, Joe, Jason, and John Brink. I wanted to draw one for Peter, too, but unfortunately there wasn't any time during finals.

I'm too excited about tomorrow to fall asleep. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

Reasons why life is good right now:
1) School is over!!!!
2) I saw Iron Man 3, it was pretty great. I was kinda confused on some parts but oh well.
3) I can sleep in tomorrow, thank goodness.
4) I think I got all A's (final grades aren't posted yet but I feel pretty confident)
5) LES MIS ON SATURDAY. THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WHY I'M HAPPY. :D

I'm kind of sad, because my orchestra teacher hasn't given us enough class time to make Les Mis any good, and it feels so horrible to ruin my favorite thing ever. We're taking ATEOTD at about half tempo, for some reason, and the teacher wants us to play DYHTPS in a swing rhythm, and she told us to make it "more sloppy." I don't understand. It should be anything but sloppy. And it's definitely not swing. The rhythm should be very clear. And whenever the class tries to give her advice on how the songs should sound, based on how the show goes, she shoots these ideas down, even though she has never seen the show, the movie, or either of the anniversary concerts. She literally does not know how Les Mis goes, yet she thinks that she knows everything about how we should play it. She tried to tell us the plot that goes along with each song, and she literally knew nothing. The class had to correct her. And adding that on top of the fact that not everyone knows their notes is probably going to make this end badly. :(

I'm really sad that my current math teacher is leaving the school. He's the best math teacher I've ever had, because not only does he teach math in a way that I can actually understand it, he also sings songs from Les Mis every day, and he keeps telling us about how he's going to see the tour. I think he's almost as excited about seeing it as I am!

I went to see Sense and Sensibility: The Musical today, and it was really good! I'd recommend that you all see it if it ever goes on tour. The songs aren't very memorable, but the sets are worth going for. They just have really cool sets that move around and do all sorts of fun twirly things and come up and down from beneath the stage.
Also, there were A LOT of Les Mis posters everywhere so it made me even more excited for that!
And apparently BoM is coming back to Denver later, so I hope I can go see it this time.

From an interview with Jason that someone did for their journalism class:

"Q: Have you had any interesting/crazy experiences with fans, and if so, what is the most memorable one?

A: We have the most amazing fans. I’ve met people that have seen the show over 20 times in the past 2 years alone that have flown all over the country to support us. They are always making amazing arts or gifts for us and it is such a thrill to know that we have that much support. One girl brought back gifts from Japan. We’ve had our likenesses painted and sketched and even embroidered. It is crazy, but sweet!!!!"

Obviously he is talking about all of you guys!

Here's the link to the full interview, if anyone wants to read it (uh...trigger warning Tumblr link??? is that a thing? I'll make it a thing): http://ithinkyoureawaffle.tumblr.com/post/47662778786/so-i-recently-did-an-interview-with-jason-forbach

I came home from 12 hours of watching Lord of the Rings to find that it was also on the TV at my house. I cannot escape it!

Also, my friends woke me up in the middle of the night by whispering varyious names of Les Mis actors into my ear over and over. They'd apparently been doing it for 10 whole minutes before I woke up. And let me tell you, there is no scarier thing than waking up to a large face looming over you whispering "John Brink, Jason Forbach, Peter Lockyer, Andrew Varela." No scarier thing.

My proudest moment so far this week was using a Brick quote on the TCAP test.
